This small collection features original cover designs and the editorial masthead for ROCK Magazine, a music and pop-culture bi-monthly publication produced out of Hollywood, California in the early 1980s.Unlike larger national music tabloids of the era, ROCK Magazine featured a glossy format that combined mainstream rock, new wave and pop musicians.These scans document the visual history and design by Art Director, Frederick Abrams, a native of Los Angeles, who is also a visual artist, songwriter and filmmaker.
